How should i aproach my mom about this?

I would just bring it up one day when your at store or something and just say, "Oh hey mom let's go and look at this lip gloss I heard it's great." or "Hey mom I saw this new foundation and I wanted to try it." I would not be afraid to ask her because it's very common for a girl like you to want to start wearing makeup.
