What does a hemmroid feel like?

For the last two months, my has been very itch. It has never been unbearably painful, but sometimes it is extremely itchy. To stop the itch, ive just used baby poweder is is sucessful for a short while before the itch returns and is also only unbearably itchy after a bowel movement and using cheap toilet paper. Is this a hemmroid?
