Morbid books to read?

Ok, so this sounds kinda strange, but I like to read morbid books. Not really like slasher things, but like people that like are in a downward spiral to insanity. None slasher or killer, just like human unwellness (Lol) I don't really know how to explain. Take for example, Edgar Allen Poe. Something like that? Thank you everyone!
