Don't be alarmed! Of course an infection is the last thing you want during pregnancy so wash it out with soap and warm water. Wait until the bleeding slows and apply bacitracin or iodine to kill any festering bacteria and prevent infection. Then, apply a band-aid that covers the WHOLE wound. Change the band-aid every day (also reapply the bacitracin). I hope I helped! (: best wishes!
