Fuel injection motorcycle(cruiser) sounds differently compare to the carburetor one?

is the fuel injection cruiser will sound differently (engine and pipe sound) compare to the carburetor one? example: yamaha roadstar 1999 compare to the 2008 1700 FI one... will they produce the same sound? or the year 2008 roadstar with FI will just sounds like Honda VTX1800, which is just like Kawasaki Vulcan 500 -.-
